Organic Certifications

All our brands are safe and use natural or naturally-derived ingredients but if you are looking for extra assurance about the integrity and quality of natural and organic grooming products, go for products that have been certified by organisations such as the Soil Association, BDIH, EcoCert, CCOF, or ACO. Organic Certification means that the ingredient has been grown and harvested without the use of pesticides, chemical fertilisers, herbicides, synthetic chemicals, growth agents and free from irradiation and chemical sterilisation. Check out our certified organic products.

British Soil Association: A product that carries the Soil Association symbol and is labelled organic, must contain a minimum of 95% organic ingredients. The certification by the Soil Association ensures that products contain minimum synthetic ingredients and that harmful chemicals such as parabens, SLS and phthalates are not used. The Soil Association standards are also based on principles that require the miniumum processing of ingredients and clear labelling so that the consumer can make an informed choice about the product they are purchasing. The standards also contain criteria that means their manufacture and use must cause minimum environmental impact.

BDIH: BDIH is the Federation of German Industries and Trading Firms for pharmaceuticals, health care goods, dietary supplements and personal hygiene products. Products bearing the BDIH seal of approval use natural ingredients like high-quality plant-based oils, fats and waxes, herbal extracts, floral waters or essential oils and aromatherapy fragrances, obtained wherever possible from controlled biological cultivation, or controlled biological wild collection. No organic-synthetic dyes, synthetics fragrances, ethoxylated raw materials, silicon, paraffin or other mineral oil derivatives are used.

Ecocert: Ecocert is one the European leading certification bodies (approved by French authorities) for organic products, and works in more than eighty countries worldwide, controlling and certifying organic labels such as organic food (Label AB/Organic farming) and the Cosmebio label / Organic skincare for all skincare products. Under the Ecocert certification, ingredients must be from natural origin (min. 95%) and issued in priority from organic farming, without GMO’s, mineral oils, parabens, chemical preservatives, animal contents, and with a non-polluting process of manufacturing respecting health and environment.
